TO OUR DAUGHTER SHARON

I came across this in an old autograph album belonging to the person who is the subject of the verse - our daughter Sharon. (I'd quite forgotten ever writing these lines).

A father's life is mostly bills,
Like fuel, light and water,
Which makes his money run away
Much faster than it oughter.
But one thing helps to ease the pain;
A curly-headed daughter.

Love,

Daddy
